when other procedures have failed to obtain

patellofemoral stability. Recession wedge

trochleoplasty is a simple and safe procedure

which seems to be effective in providing

patellofemoral stability and pain relief. Our

attitude is to perform recession wedge

trochleoplasty never in isolation but in

association to realignment of the extensor

apparatus according to the “à la carte” surgery

concept.
