length. A virtual implantation of the patello
femoral prosthesis and patella button can be
performed. Any conflict between articular
cartilage junction and alignment can be
predicted. From this, the most suitable position
as well as the size of the prosthesis can be
suggested for a particular patient (fig. 1).
